My centrifuge fan rotor is vibrating even with no load. Any ideas on why this is happening? Any ideas on what should i do here exactly? Like for example maybe i should go to professionals?
I had a similar problem with a fan once. In my case, it was due to worn-out bearings. Have you inspected the bearings for wear or lubrication issues? It can help you, but it only works with narrow rotors, overall the best solution here is to buy balancing equipment, like for example Vibromera and other equipment for rotor balancing. You can always go to professionals, and also keep in mind that such equipment costs around 12K dollars
It sounds like you might have an imbalance issue. Even without a load, if the mass distribution in the rotor or fan blades is uneven, it can cause vibrations. Have you checked for any debris or damage on the blades? Or maybe you might want to try to find heavy spot with placing something on top?
